What is Botox?

Botox is a form of botulinum toxin that temporarily eliminates or reduces fine lines and wrinkles.

How does Botox work?

Botox blocks signals to the nerves that control the muscles in the treatment area. This prevents these muscles from contracting to form fine lines and wrinkles.

How old should I be to get Botox?

Botox has no recommended age. If you have a treatable wrinkle, you’re ready for Botox.

How long does Botox last?

Botox is not permanent. For most patients, treatments last between three and four months.

How much does Botox cost?

Patients are billed per unit of Botox administered. At RMH the cost is $11 per unit with a $50 Consultation Fee.

Can Botox treatments be charged to insurance?

No, Botox treatments must be paid for by the patient at the time of service.

How many units of Botox will I need?

The number of units of Botox used for a particular treatment depend on the number, size and condition of the treated area(s).
