When you have diabetes, taking good care of yourself can seem overwhelming. Whether you’ve just been informed or have had the disease for a long time, educating yourself is critical to maintaining the disease.
Rush Memorial Hospital’s diabetes team can help you live a full and happy life while managing your diabetes.

Diabetes Group Classes
Diabetes Group Classes consist of four (4) two-hour classes. These classes are offered the first, second, and third Tuesday of each month from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The fourth class is the fourth Tuesday two months later from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The cost is $20 for all four classes. Spouses, caregivers, etc. are welcome to attend!

March 1, 8, 15 – Follow up: April 26
April 5, 12, 19 – Follow up: May 24
May 3, 10, 17 – Follow up: June 28
June 7, 14, 21 – Follow up: July 26
July 5, 12, 19 – Follow up: August 23
September 6, 13, 20 – Follow up: October 25
October 4, 11, 18 – Follow up: November 22
November 1, 8, 15 – Follow up: December 27

Individual Counseling
Individual counseling is also offered. There is a fee for these sessions. Please check with your insurance provider to see if Individual Diabetic Counseling is covered under your plan.
