The Protime Clinic is a physician-directed, nurse-managed outpatient clinic for patients on Coumadin (warfarin) therapy. Protime clinic patients require an order from their physician and then must call to make an appointment. This service is offered Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and upon special request to the Anticoagulation program. A modified schedule will be provided based on patient needs and priorities.
To assist physicians in managing oral anticoagulation therapy (Warfarin) by evaluating the prothrombin (PT) and/or the International Normalized Ratio (INR) and instructing patients or family of the appropriate dosage of Warfarin.
To assess patients for possible complications related to anticoagulation therapy.
To provide comprehensive and ongoing education to patients and/or family members about anticoagulant therapy with specific attention to signs and symptoms.
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: 7:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Tuesday, Friday: 7:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
