My sister had surgery at Rush Memorial Hospital. We are so pleased with the care and attitude not only by Dr. Ginther and his team but by every staff member we encountered.
We started looking for a surgeon several years ago, and Dr. Ginther’s name came up multiple times and from non-related sources. I asked someone about him. She shared that they were very impressed with their visit and the determining factors were: 1) less pain and 2) shorter recovery. I was totally surprised to learn he practiced in Rushville! We decided to schedule an appointment and make a decision afterwards. Within 15 minutes of meeting Dr. Ginther and listening to him, we both realized he was the surgeon for her.
It was truly surprising how nice everyone was! This includes Dr. Ginther’s team, the Surgical Services Department, nursing staff—Amy, Andrea, Chelsea, Taylor, and Franzi, registration, food service (the meals were appetizing and delivered hot), and the custodians.
The Pre-Surgery Class with Missy was extremely beneficial for the caregiver. The informational binder reduced stress as it provided excellent information regarding expectations, care and recovery. It was such a relief to know that physical therapy would be arranged prior to discharge.
We will highly recommend Rush Memorial to our friends.
