We have instituted an employee health screening process – all employees are to perform self-screening for COVID-related symptoms before entering hospital buildings at the beginning of their shift. We have a process in place that has been published and distributed to all employees indicating steps they are to take immediately if they develop symptoms before or during their shift. All employees are to wear masks when entering and exiting the hospital buildings as well as when in common areas.
We are employing enhanced cleaning and disinfecting protocols for the workplace, including regularly cleaning high-touch areas. Our protocols also include the use of ultraviolet light disinfection for all operating rooms and other areas as needed. We have expanded our staff of environmental services professionals to better meet our high standards and expectations associated with cleanliness and safety.
We are enhancing our ability of employees, patients and others to wash hands or take other personal hygiene measures such as using hand sanitizer by mounting additional hand sanitizers for employee and patient convenience.
We are complying with CDC social distancing requirements, including maintaining six-foot social distancing for both employees and members of the general public when possible and/or employing other separation measures such as face coverings or barriers.
